Heavy rain that doused Ocean County on Tuesday resulted only in minor flooding and a handful of power outages in the area.
In Stafford Township, where past rainstorms have caused significant flooding, township Administrator Paul Shives said there were no reports of flooding and only a few power outages.
And by the time the rain stopped late Tuesday afternoon, there were no significant weather-related problems to report.
None of Long Beach Island's six municipalities reported higher-than normal stormwater levels, nor did any of the waterfront communities on the mainland.
